More than 100 people, representing a range of churches, came together for a Walk of Witness through Cockermouth.
Churches Together in the Cockermouth Area staged the event on Good Friday and were delighted with the turn-out.
The procession set off from All Saints' Church, carrying a wooden cross, and stopped at seven stations through the town for a Bible reading, song and moment of silent prayer. Each one was led by a different church.

A service was held in the United Reformed Church before people proceeded to Memorial Gardens where the cross was planted.
Everyone was then invited to head to St Joseph's Church for drinks and hot cross buns.
Team rector Rev Canon Jane Charman said: "It was wonderful. There was lovely weather and a great feeling of fellowship.
"The Walk of Witness has been happening for many years, it was great to see so many people."
Many people gathered at the cross at 6am on Sunday for a dawn service.
"People found it very moving," said Rev Canon Charman.
