ULVERSTON REMEMBERANCE services are set to take place next weekend with all invited to attend.

The services invite residents to remember the fallen and honour the eleventh hour of the eleventh day of the eleventh month in 1918 in which the First World War ended.

Everybody is welcome to take part in the parade, attend the church service and take part in the event at the War Memorial.

Here are the details below of the services including the Sunday parade which will have closures in place for the roads listed:

Saturday, November 11 2023

A short act of Remembrance at the War Memorial from 10.50am – 11.00am led by the Royal British Legion.

Sunday, November 12 2023

• Parade commences at 2.15pm from the Royal British Legion on Brogden Street led by Ulverston Town Band.
• Parade to Ulverston Parish Church via: Cross St, County Square, Theatre St, Benson St, Queen St, King St and Church Walk for a service at 2.30pm
• The parade reforms after the church service at approximately 3.30pm and returns via Church Walk and King Street to the War Memorial where there will be a short service and wreaths will be laid.
• The parade will dismiss and march back to the Royal British Legion via Market Street and Brogden Street.
