WORKINGTON turned out to remember its fallen over the weekend with a fantastic Remembrance parade, despite the rain coming down.

The town came together on Sunday, November 5 to remember soldiers who have been lost from the area during war in a special parade and silence at the cenotaph, before an afternoon of camaraderie in the town's Royal British Legion.

Workington Town Council and other organisations contributed to two parades in the town, with the first leaving Harrington Royal British Legion at 9.40am and parading to St Mary’s Church for a service.

The Workington parade left Pow Street in Workington at 2pm and paraded to the cenotaph in Vulcan Park for a service.
