Police are warning Cumbrians after a car was broken into late at night.
An investigation into the break in, which happened to a vehicle parked on Sandy Lonning in Maryport, and officers are appealing for witnesses who might have seen someone acting suspiciously and trying door handles.
The incident, which happened on Monday, November 20, has sparked a warning from the police.
A spokesperson from Cumbria Constabulary said: "Residents are reminded to check that their vehicles are locked when unattended and that any valuable items are not left in vehicles, especially as it gets closer to the festive period.
"Where possible, try and park vehicles in well-lit areas, such as driveways and near street lamps."
