Britain's Energy Coast Business Cluster (BECBC) has appointed a new PR partner.

BECBC has appointed 32West, a PR and marketing agency, to augment the visibility of its members and foster further local business collaboration.

The Cumbria-based cluster made the announcement this week after a 'competitive tender process'.

The focus of BECBC has been on uniting members of the energy sector supply chain.

It gives its members a collective voice, facilitates growth, forms alliances, inspires future regional leaders and bolsters the local economy.

32West has been chosen for its successful track record in leveraging campaigns for an array of businesses, charities, and local authorities throughout the North of England.

The agency will commence its partnership with BECBC in January 2024, and the contract will remain in place for three years.

Dianne Richardson, the Chief Executive of BECBC, said: “As a member of BECBC who already handles the PR for a number of fellow members, 32West can bring its experience, connections and understanding of the area to ensure our members’ voices are heard in the energy sector locally, regionally and nationally. I’m really looking forward to working with them as we move into 2024.”

32West offers diversified PR services, such as social media and digital marketing, videography and graphic design.

It works with multiple businesses in West Cumbria.

Samantha Down, a Client Relationship Manager for 32West, said: “As an agency which works up and down the West Cumbrian ‘energy corridor’, and as a BECBC member ourselves, we are already established in the local business community and we have first-hand knowledge of the amazing work these companies deliver on a daily basis.

“We are very excited to start work with BECBC to share the members’ amazing stories, promote further collaboration between local businesses and promote opportunities for business growth among members.”

Founded in 2003 by six West Cumbrian businesses within Sellafield’s supply chain, BECBC helps to maximise business opportunities by convening regular meetings to discuss local developments and collaboration possibilities.
