POLICE officers in Workington have been monitoring shops and businesses.
This has been done in the run-up to Christmas to ensure that they are not being targeted by criminals.
Over the past week, officers have visited places like Dunmail Park, and no incidents were recorded.
A spokesperson said: "PCSO 5421 was out on foot patrol in Northside this afternoon. Police will be engaging with local premises in the run-up to the Christmas period to deter any antisocial behaviour. No issues in the area tonight."
