A MOTORIST has been banned from the roads for two years after he failed to provide a specimen for analysis.
William Bishop, 46, failed to provide a specimen of blood for a laboratory test when he was suspected of having driven a vehicle.
The offence took place in Workington on December 21.
Bishop, of Flimby Brow, Flimby, pleaded guilty at an earlier date to failing to provide a specimen for analysis. He also admitted failing to surrender to court bail on January 15.
Magistrates sitting in Workington imposed a 12-month community order with 15 rehabilitation activity requirement days. He was disqualified from driving for 24 months and fined £80.
Bishop was also ordered to pay £85 costs and a £114 surcharge to fund victim services. An application was made for benefit deductions.
