Cartmell Shepherd Solicitors has expanded its West Cumbria team with the appointment of senior solicitor Lynne McFaul.

The law firm, which operates across Cumbria and Northumberland, has enlisted Ms McFaul to meet increasing demand, leveraging her 30 years of commercial property experience.

Ms McFaul, resident of Cockermouth, will be based at the firm's office in the town.

As a senior associate solicitor, her arrival further bolsters the firm’s West Cumbria team.

She will work with clients across Cumbria and nationally, featuring in Cartmell Shepherd’s commercial property team, which the company says is one of the largest in the area.

Ms McFaul said: "Being part of the Cartmell Shepherd team offers me the opportunity to deal with high quality work within an established, well regarded regional law firm and with clients from a wide variety and scope of businesses.

"I’m very much looking forward to working closely with clients to find the right legal solutions for them."

The experienced solicitor honed her legal skills at large city practices in Liverpool before working at regional law firms based in Cumbria.

She moved to Cumbria with her family in 2007 and is married to university lecturer Mike, with whom she shares three children.

According to Peter Stafford, managing director of Cartmell Shepherd Solicitors, the appointment is integral to their growth strategy.

He said: "As demand for our services grows, we remain committed to investing in quality, experience and expertise within our team to provide excellent legal advice and guidance for our clients.

"Lynne is a brilliant addition to our commercial property team.

"Her experience and expertise will help us to continue to deliver the best possible service for our clients."

With six offices spread across Rosehill Carlisle, Carlisle city centre, Brampton, Penrith, Cockermouth and Haltwhistle, Cartmell Shepherd Solicitors offers a full range of legal services.

It is the only legal firm in Cumbria to be a member of the UK200Group.
