HUNDREDS lined the streets in Workington as the town celebrated members of the Armed Forces for the 15th year running.
Armed Forces Day, which is now in it's 15th year, saw hundreds turn out on the streets of Workington as the procession made it's way from Pow Street to Vulcan Park on Saturday, June 26.
Over 200 people participated in the parade and many more turned out to support the celebrations in the town.
Organiser, Lesley Jackson said: “We had a really good day, eventually the weather held up for us and we had a great parade, it was nice to see people mingling with people.
“It’s lovely that our military family can come together and support what we are about, it’s fantastic as well that their family and friends and the community can come together and support the event as well.
“Everybody just has good day in the end and that’s what it’s all about.”
And there already getting organised for next year, the annual summer afternoon tea party for the towns care home residents and then monthly quiz, took place on Wednesday, July 10 to try and raise funds for the parade next year.
