A Cockermouth farm hopes to expands it leisure business and put 10 holiday pods on its land.
Wellington Farm has applied to Allerdale Council for change of use of land.
The farm, off the Oakhurst roundabout, is owned by brothers Leigh and Hodgson Stamper.
"We're not doing dairy farming any more and are looking to go more down the tourism line, rather than agriculture. As we have been developing the cafe we all thought pods would work. It's something we have wanted to do for a while," said Leigh.
The two and five-berth timber-clad pods would be on wheels and sited next to the cafe, following the removal of a dutch barn.
"They're not just camping pods, they are en suite with all the facilities, including a kitchen," said Leigh.
"We are hoping it will be up and running next spring."
The family stopped dairy farming three years ago. They have developed a cafe, ice cream shop and children's play area.
The cafe has a TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence, which is given to venues that consistently earn great reviews.
