Tesco shoppers are being urged to check their app after the supermarket launched a fun freebie giveaway that could land them a popular snack completely free.
The retailer has kicked off a brand-new "Freebie Thursdays" promotion, with millions of free product coupons set to be handed out to Clubcard members throughout the summer.
And the first giveaway is already live. Nearly one million Tesco Clubcard members are receiving a digital coupon that can be exchanged for a free sharing bag of Walkers Sensations crisps in stores.
How to claim your free Tesco snack
Shoppers need to open the Tesco app and check the Clubcard section to see whether they've been selected.
If a coupon has appeared in your account, you'll be able to claim a free 150g bag of Walkers Sensations by scanning the voucher at the checkout in store.
The coupon must be used before midnight on June 17.
Which crisps are included?
Lucky shoppers can choose from four popular Walkers Sensations flavours:
- Thai Sweet Chilli
- Mature Cheddar & Chutney
- Onion & Balsamic Vinegar
- Roast Chicken & Thyme
The supermarket plans to release new free product coupons every Thursday over the coming weeks, with millions more Clubcard members expected to receive offers.
The giveaways will include a mix of Tesco own-brand favourites and major branded products.
Why some shoppers got selected
Tesco says customers receiving the free crisps coupon were chosen based on their previous shopping habits.
The vouchers appear in the Clubcard section of the Tesco app alongside personalised discounts and money-off offers.
Shama Wilson, Tesco's Group Membership and Loyalty Director, said the retailer wants to reward Clubcard members with products they love throughout the summer.
She urged customers to check their Tesco app regularly, adding that millions more freebie coupons will be released in the coming weeks.

Anyone wanting a chance to receive the offers needs to have a Tesco Clubcard and use the Tesco app.
More than 24 million UK households already have a Clubcard, giving them access to personalised discounts, reward partners and exclusive promotions.
