Workington Town will go into battle with London Skolars today knowing they need the points to secure a berth in the League One play-offs.

They will start the game without three of last week's side that lost out at the hands of Newcastle Thunder.

The injured Elliott Miller sits the game out, as well as Karl Olstrom and Joe Hambley. In their place come in Kurt and Gordon Maudling, plus Scott Rooke.

The London team looks changed from when the two sides met earlier in the season and Town's coaching staff are under no illusions that this will be a tough encounter.

Skolars put 70 points onto Hemel last weekend so are coming into the match on a high.

But Town need to claim the points from this encounter before they head to Doncaster for the final game of the league season next weekend in a clash of what would currently be third versus fourth.

Teams placed second to fifth after next weekend's final round will go into the play-offs with promotion up for grabs.
