Maryport and Netherton infant schools donned their trainers and showed off their footballing skills.
Sweden, the Czech Republic, Italy, Spain, Germany, Ireland and England were all represented.
But in the end nobody is quite sure who won because the emphasis in this tournament was on fun and exercise.
In fact, goal scoring was not even the only way to win points.
Between games there were quizzes which all added to the unimportant end result.
The tournament was run by Jordan Carrigan and Luke Graham from Sports for All, the Cockermouth-based sports group which works with both the schools.
The heroes of the tournament were the goalies who had to defend while two or three balls were fired at them from different angles.
It did not seem to worry them, though.
In Euro 2016 Maryport style, competition definitely took second place to fun.
