Waverley picked up their first win of the Workington Sunday League season after a tight encounter with Dearham at the weekend.

Goals from Chris Williams, Antony Zajac, Kieran Messenger and Dave Blackwell all found the back of the net for Waverley as they collected their first three-pointer of the term.

Dearham did not make it easy for them though as Steven Stoddart picked up a brace and Jason Connery added a third in a close premier league game.

A Matthew Perry hat-trick ensured Pack Horse stay on top of the pile after a great game against third placed Deer Orchard, the Seaton side running out 4-1 victors after an end-to-end game.

Calvin Feeney also got a goal for Pack Horse with Luke Ivison getting Deer Orchard’s reply.

Reigning champions Northside put down their marker when they beat Sun Inn 8-2 with Gareth O’Leary collecting a hat-trick, alongside a brace for Lee Wolfe.

Stefan Scott, Jamie Bramley and Callum Doyle scored the remaining goals for Northside, with Sun Inn breaking through on two occasions to score courtesy of Mikey Tomlinson and Dan Pearson.

Seaton Royal Oak picked up an away win at the home of Senhouse Street Club with Tom Powell, Ben Powell, Carl Denver and Paul Brown all scoring in the 4-0 victory.

Turning to division one, Workington Reds Juniors were in total control as they welcomed Highfield and ran away with the game thanks to a 10-0 scoreline.

Harry Bibby led the way with a hat-trick of goals, followed by Cameron Harker with a brace, and one apiece for Matty Bryden, Macauley Sharp, Andrew Sinclair, Aaron Porthouse and an own goal.

It was tight as Maryport United welcomed Re House and the two sides could not be separated in a 4-4 scoreline.

Max Litt scored a hat-trick for Maryport, with Luke Herring also bagging one as Adam Chambers and Jamie Crossfield both picked up braces for Red House.

The final game of the afternoon took place at the home of Sun Inn Athletic where Maryport Labour Club were the visitors and they took the spoils in a close encounter.

Goals from Josh Gartland, Dean Scholey and Ethan Weir were enough for Labour Club to take a 3-2 win, with Don Harrison and Liam Day replying for Athletic.
