Workington Town have signed up centre Tyler Lancaster after a successful trial at the club.
Lancaster has spent a month training and playing with the club and impressed enough to earn a deal to stay at Derwent Park.
Town's director of rugby Gary Murdock said: "Tyler has trained really well and impressed during his trial period.
"He’s soaking up the environment and is eager to learn.
"He’ll come on leaps and bounds under a coach like Chris Thorman and we look forward to seeing him progress.
"As always we aim to recruit the best of Cumbrian talent.
"Tyler fits that bill perfectly."
