Workington Sunday League sides carried on at the weekend with goals flying in across both divisions.

A seven-goal thriller as Blue Bell travelled to Grapes went the visitors' way as they won 4-3 thanks to two goals from Ben Powell, one from his brother Tom Powell and another from Carl Denver.

Goals for the hosts came from Nick Wood, Matt Fulton and Grant Quayle.

Salterbeck hosted Deer Orchard and were 3-1 winners courtesy of a Charlie Shaw brace and a goal from Joe Courtney, while Luke Ivison was the only scorer for the away side.

And Northside welcomed Sun Inn in a game which also ended 3-1 to the home side, with Jamie Glover scoring twice and Mark Surtees capping the victory.

In Division One, Highfield beat Sun Inn Athletic 5-2 with a Dan Burns hat-trick and Max Litt scored three times for Flimby Social in a 3-0 win against The Junction Workington.

Glasson Gardeners beat Dearham 3-1and Maryport Labour Club were 4-1 winners against JJ's.
