There were plenty of goals in the West Cumbria Youth League U12 division at the weekend as all the teams got stuck into their games.

Grassroad Sharks were on form as they racked up a 9-2 victory over Cleator Moor Celtic while Workington Reds Juniors beat Silloth 9-0 and Cockermouth beat Whitehaven AFC Yellows 6-1.

Bransty Rangers defeated Seaton Rovers 9-1, with Whitehaven Miners Social winning 3-1 over Seaton Athletic.

At U13 level Cleator Moor Celtic won away at Moor Row Reds 9-2, Cockermouth Real beat Seaton Village 5-0, Whitehaven Blues won 8-3 at St Bees and Whitehaven Yellows were 5-0 victors over Workington Reds’ Whites.

U14 league leaders Whitehaven AFC Yellows continued their winning ways, by beating St Bees 9-0 while Workington Reds’ Whites beat Maryport Amateurs 7-0. Moor Row Reds won 5-0 at home to Whitehaven Miners Social while Seaton Athletic won 4-0 over Moor Row Blacks.

It was an all-Seaton battle in the U15 league where United came out on top 4-0 over Athletic and Cleator Moor Celtic beat Whitehaven Miners Social 9-0. In another free-scoring game, Bransty Rangers got the better of Whitehaven AFC Yellows 8-6, while Workington Reds and Whitehaven Blues were deadlocked at 4-4.

Workington Rangers still jointly top the U16 league after a 9-0 win over Maryport Athletic. They share top spot with Dearham Rangers, who beat Whitehaven AFC 7-3, while Windscale won 6-1 at Workington Reds’ Blacks.

In the girls U12 Blue league, Workington Diamonds’ Whites won 6-2 against Whitehaven Yellows while Allerdale Panthers beat Senhouse Juniors 6-3. In the red league, Allerdale Tigers won 7-1 at Cockermouth Blues, Whitehaven AFC beat Moor Row Reds 7-1 and Whitehaven Blues pipped Workington Diamonds’ Reds 3-2.

At U14 level, Whitehaven won 9-0 over Allerdale Pumas, Whitehaven U13s beat Workington Diamonds 9-2 and Cockermouth won 9-3 at Senhouse Juniors.
