Salterbeck came out on top of their President's Cup clash with Highfield after an entertaining game where they came back from 2-0 down to win 5-2.

Ben Greaves scored the opener for Highfield and then Ben Irving scrambled in the second on his debut for the side.

But then Salterbeck got back into the game and had made it 2-2 at the break before going on to clinch the win 5-1 with two penalties from Charlie Shaw and further shots from Niall Melton, Anthony Hilland and Terry Warrior.

Pack Horse were convincing winners over Sun Inn Athletic in the same competition with Kyle Graham leading the way with a hat-trick.

Harry Simpson, Ryan Robinson, Jonathan McAllister and Matthew Dixon also found the back of the net while Mark Campbell and Brad Williamson replied for the home side.

Chris Williams was on target with a hat-trick for Grapes as they recorded a 6-1 victory over The Junction, with Grant Quayle also on the scoresheet with a brace and a final goal from Nick Wood.

In reply Scott Holiday broke through for The Junction.

Ben Powell was another hat-trick hero on Sunday as his trio aided Blue Bell to an 8-3 win at home to Dearham with a brace from Carl Denver and goals from Tom Powell, Steven Maxwell and Adam Chambers wrapping up the scoring.

For Dearham, Jack Brown bagged two and there was one from Jamie MacArthur.

It was much tighter as Glasson Gardeners played host to Sun Inn with just one goal separating the two sides.

Dean Scholey, Attlee Jack Skillen and Gary Taylor won the day with goals for Glasson who won 3-2, the replies coming courtesy of Daniel Pearson and Malcolm Graham.

Northside were clear 6-1 victors when Deer Orchard visited, their lone goal coming from Callum West.

Northside strikes came via a double for Nathan Nowak, and one apiece for Chad Grisdale, Jamie Glover, Shaun Carter and Dean Anderson.

Thew final game was at Flimby Social where the home side beat JJs 3-1 with Max Litt, Stevie Owens and Sean Boal all on target.

In reply Nathan Dryden got the lone goal for JJs.

Maryport Labour Club had a bye in this round of the competition.
