Clubs in the Northern Premier League will be asked what should be done about the current season.
In a statement earlier today, the NPL announced that in light of national Covid-19 restrictions, the 2020/2021 season could be terminated with results rendered null and void.
The NPL has joined Trident League board members and the FA's Alliance Committee in discussions this week about what to do. Their joint recommendation is to end the season.
However, The FA is now asking football clubs from Step 3 and Step 4 of The National League System if they want to see games continue after lockdown.
Workington AFC are in discussions this afternoon to decide on their stance.
A spokesperson for the NPL said: "In the meantime, the Northern Premier League is postponing all fixtures up to and including Saturday 6th March since there is no suggestion that the national lockdown will be lifted prior to this date."
