Thirteen former captains played and the winner was immediate past lady captain Ann Martin with 32 points.
Second was Barbara Davis with 32 points and afternoon tea followed the game.
The Silver A team met Furness ladies and it was a close game won 3-2 by Furness.
Chris Reed, Alissa Thompson, Chris Clarke and Janice Cooper managed to qualify for the Presidents Final.
This week, Workington Ladies County League teams had their return match.
The B team came out the winners again.
In the 4 BBB competition on Saturday, Barbara Atkinson and Kathleen Gibson won with 39 points.
Second were Dorothy Crelling and Madeline Harrison with 37 points.
The Cecil Leitch B team had a good win at Appleby 3-2 last Monday.
On Tuesday, the ladies had a last chance to qualify for the Challenge Bowl final (net 75 or below).
Julia Lynn, with net 72, Alissa Thompson, with net 74 and Kath Gibson, with net 75 all qualified.
Margaret Scott won the nine hole competition
On August 23, women and girls are invited to a golf taster session at Workington Golf Club from 2pm to 6pm.
All ages are welcome to attend the free event and try golf for the first time.
Ladies Captain Barbara Davis said it was a good chance for people to experience the sport.
