Workington Comets' trip to Peterborough tonight has been postponed.

Comets suffered their second rain-off in three days after Sunday's visit to Newcastle was also called off due to a waterlogged track.

The postponements mean there will be a two week gap between Comets' last fixture on Saturday and their next meeting at home to Somerset on June 25.

Team manager Tony Jackson said he was frustrated by the stop-start nature of the season.

He said: "They'd had a lot of rain in the previous two days and said the track couldn't take anymore although it was forecast to rain again.

"You can't beat the weather unfortunately."

New dates for Sunday and tonight's fixtures have yet to be confirmed.
