Workington Reds racked up another league victory as they saw off strugglers Corby Town 1-0.

A lone strike from Scott Allison was the difference between the two sides at the final whistle as Reds moved up to 11th in the league table.

Reds had the majority of possession but failed to convert a number of chances that came their way.

Corby never really threatened Aaron Taylor in the Reds goal, limiting themselves to just one chance of note from Nathan Fox that was well dealt with.

One bonus for Reds was the return of Joe McGee, who came on off the bench in the second half.

Reds' game on Tuesday night has been called off as opponents Ramsbottom's FA Trophy tie was called off at the weekend and is due to be replayed midweek.

So they now have a full week to prepare for the trip to Ilkeston next Saturday in the league.
