A MAN has been fined for assaulting a police officer.
Nicholas Petre, 46, pleaded guilty to assaulting by beating of an emergency worker, when he appeared at Workington Magistrates’ Court.
Petre, of Bounty Avenue, Maryport, assaulted the officer on December 23 in Maryport.
He was fined £120 and must pay £85 costs and a £48 victim surcharge.
An application was made for benefit deductions.
